Download and extract

The .zip file will download to your Downloads folder. Right-click and select "Extract All" (Windows) or double-click to unzip (macOS). Keep the extracted folder somewhere accessible.

Enable Developer mode

Open chrome://extensions in your address bar (or brave://extensions for Brave, edge://extensions for Edge). Toggle Developer mode in the top right, then click "Load unpacked".

Select the folder

Navigate to the extracted RPCleaner folder and click Select Folder. The extension icon will appear in your toolbar and start protecting your wallet connections immediately.

💡
Why "Load unpacked"? RPCleaner uses developer mode to give you full transparency over the extension code. You can inspect every file in the extension folder. This is a standard way to install extensions outside the Chrome Web Store and poses no security risk.
